September 2006

Hello everybody,
We're a little late getting this out this month. We have been so busy doing school, work, and taking care of little Maggie. This week marks the turning point in our semester, though. It's all downhill from here.
Probably the biggest piece of news that has happened this past month is the decision by the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Paragould, AR to support us. We are planning to go up there this next Sunday and talk with them more about it. We are really excited to get involved with that church and get to know them. We have been so impressed every time we have communicated with them. God has really blessed us with this support (both emotionally and monetarily), and we thank and praise Him for these wonderful people.
Casey's parents came to visit us this week. It was a lot of fun watching them holding and playing with Maggie. She has grown a lot since the last time they saw her. They are on their way back to Alabama right now. While they were here, we took them out to see HUT (Harding University's global village). We enjoyed doing that (we drove around in a nice mule (ATV type vehicle) that Harding bought, which made the visit a lot more enjoyable). :)

Chris' parents are now getting settled in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. They left the states in September and got all their things from their home in Kenya and moved to Tanzania. They seem to be doing well! Also, Jeremy and Martha Smith and their boys have gone back to Mozambique after their furlough. It was really good being with family this summer.

Well, our life is pretty busy, but a lot of fun! We are enjoying watching Maggie grow up! It sure happens fast. We can't believe she's already 11 weeks old! She can hold her head up, watch things, laugh at us and all kinds of fun things. We never knew it would be so much fun to be a parent. If you want to see pictures of Maggie, please have a look at our website (see below) and go to the pictures link (the pictures are not up yet but will be by Friday, the 13). We love each of you! Write to us when you get a chance. Thanks. God bless!
