Cambodia Summit

Cambodia Summit At the beginning of this month, we went to Dallas, TX to attend a Cambodia New Year's Celebration with the Cambodian Church in Mesquite, TX and a to attend a Cambodia Summit hosted by MRN. We spent a whole week in the metroplex talking with churches about supporting us (for our survey trip, but we were also trying tCasey in Cambodian Dresso network for long-term) and spending time with Chris' brother, Jeff, and his family in Keller. We really enjoyed meeting a lot of people interested in Cambodia and forming stronger relationships with some people we already knew. God really blessed this week! Meeting with Young Families

Family We have spent a lot of time this month with some young families we know here in Huntsville. We are starting to form some really good friendships with some of them, and it is really good to just get to know some of the others that we don't know as well. We hope that God will bless them and that He will use us to bless them somehow. Please be in prayer for us in this.

Hayes to Cambodia

Hayes As of yesterday (April 30th, 2007), Andrew and Natalie Hayes are in Cambodia! We just got an email from them saying that they safely made it to Phnom Penh and are staying in a hotel. Andrew and Natalie have been such a blessing for us. We have really enjoyed getting to know them and sharing the common goal and passion of sharing Christ to the people of Cambodia. We know that God has big plans for them in His harvest fields. Please keep them in your prayers.

Casey in the Community

Casey and Maggie Walking Over the past couple of weeks, Casey has been working hard trying to become a part of our community here. One day she saw some kids walking home from school in the afternoon and she decided to start giving them cookies on their way past our house. She has started doing that when she can and she has also made brownies for our neighbors as a good-will gesture. We really see the need for Christians to reach out to their neighbors around here, so that is what we are trying to do.

Castle Drive Church of Christ

Castle Drive On the 22nd of April, we went to the Castle Drive church of Christ in Madison, AL, about 20 minutes away from where we live. This is a church that Casey used to go to when she was younger. We went there to talk to them about our survey trip and see if they would be willing to help us. We were very warmly received; they all especially loved seeing Casey again and hearing about her plans to go to Cambodia. It looks like Castle Drive is going to be one of our long-term supports, also, and we are very thankful for that.
