Leaving for survey trip

Our Team On the 30th of May, Nathan and Laura Thomas came to Huntsville to join us in preparing to go on our month-long survey trip to Cambodia. We have been busy preparing for this for the past few months and weeks. We are really looking forward to their reaction to Cambodia. Also going with us is Steve Lowery. He is a blessing to have along, and we know his insight will be invaluable. Please be praying for us as we spend a month in Cambodia and especially as we interact with and learn to relate with our teammates. Thank you.

BBQ

BBQ On Saturday, May 26th, we invited several young families over that we have been getting to know while here in Huntsville. We all got together and enjoyed some Cambodian meat that Casey had cooked for us. It was a lot of fun to spend time with them, and it was especially neat for them to meet one another. We have been talking with one of them about starting a weekly Bible study, and hope to invite the rest of them as well. This couple that we are talking with (the Trotters) has become very good friends to us. We are very grateful for them. Please be praying for our relationships here in Huntsville and for this potential Bible study we are hoping to get going.

Men’s retreat

Central held a retreat for all of the men in the congregation this month. It was encouraging for Chris to spend some time with those guys getting to know them better and share some more time with them. It has been really good for us to get involved at Central and we are looking forward to the even deeper relationships that we will form with them in the future. We are so blessed to be able to get to know this church so well because we know that will be invaluable once we are overseas.

HU graduation

HU Grad We went to Searcy, Arkansas for a weekend to see a lot of our friends graduate from Harding University. It was really good to see a lot of our old friends again. We stayed with a family who are old friends of Chris’ family, the Tankersleys. They were very hospitable and gracious to us. We really enjoyed talking with them and hearing about the news around Harding. It was almost like going home.

First Mother’s day

Casey's First Mother's Day This month was Casey’s first Mother’s Day! She is such a good mother! If you ask Maggie, she will tell you the same thing, too. Casey has done a wonderful job not only taking care of Maggie, but taking care of Chris too. I don’t know what we would do without her.
